In December, the marketing team from NSBA reached out to us looking for a creative video production team to shoot a TV spot on short notice. We were pleased to offer them a fast turnaround from discovery to delivery.

The Problem
The boatbuilding industry in Nova Scotia was challenged with attracting new recruits to the sector. Boatbuilding has long been a tradition held dear in Nova Scotia - in Lunenburg specifically. NSBA recognized there was effort needed in order to spread the word about the career opportunities available.
The Approach
We proposed three different creative approaches to the client - giving them the freedom to decide which option they liked the most. Among all strategies we had proposed, the goal was to create an engaging and approachable video advertisement that would inform and excite viewers about career opportunities in the field. We agreed that a testimonial from a proud boatbuilder would resonate the best.
The Result
We delivered three versions of the ad in different lengths that was well received by prospective boatbuilders. The TV spot was viewed by millions during a number of “Hockey Night in Canada” NHL games and was a valuable social media marketing asset as well. Overall, The client was very pleased with the product we delivered. The ad was also recognized by Design Rush as one of 'The Best Video Designs of 2023'.
